Beggar blowing a kiss

On our way to the airport, we stopped along the side of the road to see some monkeys. Throughout our trip, we had occasionally met young children begging, and once again there were two at this stop.

Shagzil had asked us not to give money to any of the beggars, but it was particularly difficult with the kids. Instead, Shagzil always gave them some food, including a bit of candy. That way, parents or other adults would not make a profit from the kids.

Goodies in hand, this young girl blew us kisses as we drove away. She was among the last of the Indians we saw before getting on the plane.
