![]() Village kidsOur walk through the village clearly attracted attention, as the kids were following us. Some seemed shy and others outgoing, but all were clearly curious. At this point, the whole of India had only a few dozen cases of coronavirus, but one of the nearby mothers started toward us. I think she was concerned that we foreigners would infect her kids, so I moved on. As we later heard that our camel excursion had caused a local uproar, it was clear that attitudes were changing in India. For the remaining few days of our trip, we never again had much interaction with locals, to our sorrow. |
