Feeding wild monkeys

In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Hanuman is the monkey god, one of the central characters. Monkeys are living representatives of Hanuman, and tradition calls for feeding them on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

We did not have time to visit Hanuman's temple for feeding time, but we did see this guy give a bucketful of fruit to the macaques.

Among others, the New York Times says that urban monkeys have learned to take advantage of their human neighbors. I think that American cities are boring, and we should import hordes of monkeys and let them roam free!
