![]() Nataraja, the dancing form of ShivaAt the National Museum in Delhi, we learned a bit about Hinduism. Brahma created the world, Vishnu protects it, and Shiva detroys it so that Brahma can create it again. Nataraja is the Dancing form of Shiva, and this bronze version was cast in the 12th century. Behind glass with another display case close behind my back, it was very awkward to photograph. But I'm including such poor work here because I really like the sculpture. It reminds me of Robert Oppenheimer and his famous quote, “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds“. |
