Holi Tobeys

Our first day in India was the Hindu holiday of Holi. Nearby streets and shops were deserted as people were celebrating Spring's “Festival of Color”.

Later, at the Dera Retreat, we donned white clothing for our own private little celebration of Holi. Our hosts offered bowls of vivid powders and squirt guns filled with brightly dyed water.

Our Holi was a cheerful raucous melee! The we all ran around the lawn, flinging powder on one another and getting blasted with spray. Holi is delightful fun, and made us feel young!
