Christina inside the Sheesh Mahal

Sheesh Mahal means mirror palace. Its interior walls and ceilings are decorated with thousands of small convex mirrors. Since the mirrors are curved, they reflect each other. At night, you can hold up a candle and you'll be surrounded by twinkling little stars!

This was part of the private quarters of Raja Man Singh. According to our guide, the Maharaja entertained dignitaries in the mirror palace. I'll bet the jewel box effect was very impressive back in the 16 and 1700s!
